C diminished is played at the 2nd fret as 5 3 2 3: pinky finger on the G string at fret 5, middle finger on the C string at fret 3, index finger on the E string at fret 2 and ring finger on the A string at fret 3.

Tip — The pinky must stretch to the 5th fret on the G string while the index finger stays at the 2nd fret on the E string, a wide span for smaller hands.

C diminished is played at the 6th fret as 8 6 8 6: ring finger on the G string at fret 8, index finger on the C string at fret 6, pinky finger on the E string at fret 8 and middle finger on the A string at fret 6.
