Tip — The ring finger must reach the 3rd fret on the high e string while the index holds the 1st fret on the D string.

B augmented is played at the 3rd fret as × × × 4 4 3: middle finger on the G string at fret 4, ring finger on the B string at fret 4 and index finger on the high e string at fret 3. The low E, A and D strings stay muted.
